A tragic incident occurred on Monday night when a pedestrian was fatally struck by a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle on the SP-255 highway at kilometer 259 in Avaré, São Paulo. According to the State Transportation Agency of São Paulo (Artesp), the two vehicles were traveling along the highway when the pedestrian unexpectedly accessed the road. The drivers of both the tractor and motorcycle were unable to brake or swerve in time to avoid the collision, resulting in the pedestrian's death at the scene.

Following the impact, the motorcycle rider lost control and fell from the bike. In a concerning turn of events, the tractor-trailer driver left the scene without offering assistance to the victim. Emergency response teams, including the Technical Police and Military Police, were called to the scene to provide support and investigate the incident. The Civil Police reported that the case has been filed as 'homicídio culposo' (unintentional homicide) in relation to the operation of a motor vehicle.

The victim, as reported by the police, was a man who was left unidentified at the scene.
