Cetea conducts 5,000 services in 2 months and becomes a reference in autism

The Specialized Care Center for People with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Piauí (Cetea) has provided nearly 5,000 services in just two months, showcasing significant growth in autism care in the region.

The Specialized Care Center for People with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Piauí, known as Cetea, has firmly established itself as a regional reference point for autism care, reporting nearly 5,000 services provided during December and January. Notably, January 2026 recorded 2,839 procedures, marking a 34% increase in overall service numbers compared to the previous month. This growth is perceived as a strong indicator of the center's progressive development in its initial months of operation.

Nayana Camuri, the manager of Cetea, attributes this increase to the center's ongoing consolidation efforts, which involve the continuous improvement of care protocols and operational workflows. By working on enhancing these processes, Cetea aims not only to serve a larger number of clients but also to improve the quality of care offered to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Cetea is focused on delivering comprehensive support across 13 specializations that encompass diagnosis, therapy, and ongoing management for people with autism. The center provides essential services such as psychology, speech therapy, and psycho-pedagogy, aiming to meet the diverse needs of individuals with ASD and their families, thereby fostering more inclusive support within the community.
