Governor Rafael Fonteles emphasized that Piauí has outperformed five states in the Northeast and three in the North according to IBGE’s findings. This achievement is part of their broader strategy to improve income levels statewide, with the governor committing to collaborating with the productive sector to enhance earnings for the local population. He aims for Piauí to surpass the national average income in the coming years, showcasing the state's promising direction towards economic improvement.
On a national level, Brazil's average household income also saw improvement, rising to R$ 2,316 in 2025, marking the highest level in the recent series.
