The Lagos State Government has launched the seventh edition of its EcoCirculate initiative, aiming to enhance community engagement in circular economy practices. This latest expansion targets the Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, bringing together over 500 residents to discuss and implement strategies for responsible waste management. The government emphasizes the importance of grassroots participation as a critical element of achieving environmental sustainability.

At a recent event, Governor representative Mrs. Titilayo Oshodi highlighted that improving waste management in Lagos requires a comprehensive approach that goes beyond just infrastructure and policy reform. While investments in waste processing facilities are essential, she stressed that individual and household decisions play a vital role in making meaningful progress toward a cleaner environment.
