The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has left over 500 Latvians in precarious situations, mostly in the United Arab Emirates, where many have sought assistance from their consular services. The Latvian airline airBaltic has extended the cancellation of flights to and from Dubai until March 5th, as well as cancelled the morning flight to Riga on March 6th. All flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel, have also been suspended until the following Monday due to the escalating security concerns in the region.
