Ryanair has announced its plans for the upcoming summer season, revealing the launch of four new routes from Krakow to Amman, Budapest, Bucharest, and Sofia. The airline’s expansion plan includes the deployment of three additional aircraft to its Krakow base, raising the total fleet size to 15 planes operational from the city. This strategic move is expected to enhance connectivity and meet the growing demand for travel in the region.
In addition to the new routes, Ryanair will increase flight frequencies on 47 existing paths, providing more options for passengers and expanding overall service from Krakow. The airline anticipates a significant increase in passenger numbers, projecting a rise of 13% to approximately 8 million passengers annually, a clear indication of its commitment to building a robust hub in the city.
Ryanair's expansion in Krakow positions the city as its largest base in Central Europe and highlights the airline’s ongoing investment in the region. Michael O’Leary, Ryanair's CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the record summer schedule for 2026, underscoring Krakow’s importance in the airline's strategic growth plans within this competitive aviation market.
