The first Courtyard Super Run will take place in Riga

A new running event called the Courtyard Super Run in Riga offers participants various distances to run, starting at 10 AM on event day, with a minimum donation of 30 euros to the Latvian Children's Support Fund.

In Riga, a unique running event known as the Courtyard Super Run is set to take place, inviting participants to choose from multiple race distances that start concurrently at 10 AM. Each subsequent race will commence one hour after the previous one, with registration starting at 8:30 AM on the day of the event. For completing a 6.7 km race, participants will receive the title of Sprīdītis, while those who manage to complete all twelve races will gain the coveted Lāčplēša title.

The event is not only a test of physical endurance but also serves as a charitable initiative, with a minimum entry fee of 30 euros, which will be donated to the Latvian Children's Support Fund (LBAF). Kaspars Markševics, the head of LBAF, emphasized the critical importance of community support in establishing significant social services and providing necessary assistance to children. This highlights the event's dual purpose—promoting health and fitness while simultaneously supporting a charitable cause.

Toms Grēviņš, the voice of Latvian Radio and the event's conceptual creator, stated that the main goal was to create an inclusive sports festival accessible to everyone, with the moderate distance of 6.7 km designed to encourage participation from people of all ages and fitness levels. This initiative marks a significant step towards fostering community engagement and enhancing social welfare through sports.
