Now warm weather is promised โ€“ Behind it is a familiar phenomenon

The upcoming week in Finland is expected to bring warmer weather, with a transition from low-pressure systems.

Finland's weather forecast for the upcoming week indicates a shift towards warmer conditions, signaling the early signs of spring. Meteorologist Joonas Koskela from Foreca's weather blog reports that the week will start with clearer skies as a low-pressure system moves southeast away from the southern and central parts of the country. While most areas will experience dry weather during the day, the southern region may still see some cloud cover on Monday.

Temperatures are expected to hover a couple of degrees above zero in many parts of the country, with fluctuations around zero in the central areas and between zero and minus ten degrees in Lapland. Overnight temperatures in the south may dip below freezing. The warm fรถhn wind will contribute to this temperature rise following the recent snow and sleet, marking further winter weather transformations as the country transitions into spring.

On Tuesday, rain will spread from the west across the entire country, with the first snowfall hitting western Finland by morning and extending to the north and east throughout the day. In the southern areas, some of this precipitation will turn to rain by evening, indicating a dynamic shift in Finland's climatic conditions as the nation prepares for a warming trend in the coming days.
