Spring weather rolls into Finland
The upcoming weekend in Finland will feature mild and sunny weather with temperatures possibly reaching five degrees Celsius, despite some overnight rain bringing mixed precipitation earlier in the week.
Finland is preparing for a warm and sunny weekend as spring weather makes its way across the country. According to meteorologist Sara Salonen from Foreca, temperatures may briefly rise above five degrees Celsius, although it will still take some time to reach the ten-degree mark. The transition from winter is marked by an increase in pleasant spring-like temperatures, generating excitement among residents as the days grow longer and warmer.
A low-pressure system moved over Finland during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing rain that affected the eastern regions before making its way towards the western parts of the country during the day. The precipitation is expected to come in the form of showers, which might include both rain and snow. In southern Finland, localized drizzle may also occur. This weather change reflects the typical spring fluctuations where temperatures can vary notably but are anticipated to stabilize soon.
In terms of wind, southern and central Finland will experience somewhat breezy conditions. A moderate west wind will be present, with gusts along the western coastline, accompanied by cooler air from the sea. The forecast suggests that temperatures will securely remain above freezing in areas south of Oulu, generally ranging from one to five degrees Celsius, while northern regions might still experience frosty conditions. Starting Thursday, overall weather trends are expected to be mild and sunny, promising enjoyable spring conditions for many regions across Finland.
