Companies can adopt green areas in Santos and display advertising; see how to participate
Companies in Santos can register for the Cidade Verde program to maintain environmental conservation areas in exchange for advertising opportunities.
The Cidade Verde program launched by the City Hall of Santos offers a unique opportunity for companies to engage in environmental conservation while also gaining advertising space. Companies and organizations are invited to apply for this program which allocates 32 public areas for maintenance and conservation activities. The applications must be submitted by April 20 at the headquarters of the Regional City Hall Secretariats (Sepref).
Participants in the program are responsible for all maintenance services, including landscaping, mowing grass, and caring for public gardens and sidewalks. In return for their efforts, companies are allowed to install small advertising structures, such as approved billboards and clocks, in the designated areas. This initiative not only promotes environmental awareness but also fosters community engagement through local businesses.
Monitoring of the program will be conducted by the Sepref, ensuring compliance with the set standards and guidelines. This initiative reflects a growing trend in urban areas where businesses partner with local governments to enhance public spaces while also reinforcing their brand identity through advertising. The Cidade Verde program thus represents a strategic alignment of environmental responsibility and commercial interests, aimed at benefiting both the community and participating companies.
