A recent report by the internal auditing office of the Finnish Parliament has disclosed financial details about the parliamentary groups at the end of 2024. The National Coalition Party emerged as the group with the largest financial resources, holding nearly 1.8 million euros in cash and financial securities. Following them is the Finns Party, which had around 1.1 million euros. Both parties finished the financial year significantly in the black, with surpluses of 409,000 euros and 359,000 euros, respectively.
In contrast, two prominent parties, the Centre Party and the Social Democratic Party (SDP), reported financial deficits for the year 2024. The Centre Party faced a shortfall of 123,000 euros while the SDP reported a minimal deficit of 1,000 euros. At the year's end, the Centre Party had financial holdings amounting to 715,000 euros, while the SDP had only 139,000 euros. The report emphasizes the discrepancies in financial health among different parliamentary groups, shedding light on the varying levels of support and fundraising capabilities.
The report also mentions that the Finnish Parliament allocated group office funds totaling 1,977 euros for the year 2024.
