The recording was made by André Martelli, a 32-year-old agronomist, who has lived in Sorriso and regularly travels that stretch for over 20 years without ever encountering such a situation before. Martelli was driving with a colleague when he spotted the deceased jaguars and was surprised to have witnessed such a tragic sight, which he immediately documented.
