Traffic on km 76 of BR-101 in Maruim, Brazil, is set to be temporarily blocked this Saturday, the 28th, as announced by the National Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DNIT). The road will experience partial closure starting at 8 AM, with a half-lane closure in the direction of Maruim to facilitate organizational and assembly activities. After a break, the road will be fully blocked in both directions from 2 PM for the lifting of the metal structure for the pedestrian bridge. The complete closure is anticipated to last until approximately 4 PM, at which point the road will be reopened. Motorists are advised that traffic will be redirected to a lateral street heading north during the closure, and there will be signs and staff on-site to provide direction and keep drivers informed.
The DNIT is urging drivers to exercise heightened caution, adhere to the new traffic signs, and plan their travels accordingly to avoid delays in the affected area. This construction project aims to enhance safety for pedestrians who frequently cross this busy highway, highlighting the ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure in Brazil.
