Interventions on the Mamédio Bittar Overpass in Rio Branco will take place in three phases, causing traffic disruptions until Friday.
The construction of the Mamédio Bittar Overpass, also known as the AABB overpass, in Rio Branco is set to undergo significant alterations due to necessary drainage and resurfacing work. This project will unfold in three phases, commencing on Wednesday, the 25th, and lasting through to Friday, the 27th. The construction will particularly affect the stretch connecting Rua dos Engenheiros and the roundabout between Avenida Ceará and Estrada Dias Martins, where critical work is needed to improve the infrastructure of the roadway.
During this period, traffic flow in the region will be adjusted, with specific deviations put in place to maintain accessibility. For traffic moving from the city center to the neighborhoods, access will still be possible through Rua dos Engenheiros and Rua Isaura Parente. Abdel Barbosa Derze, the head of the Municipal Urbanization Company of Rio Branco, highlighted the extent of the work, specifying that deep patch repairs will necessitate extensive soil removal and replacement, which could take at least a day to complete at various points along the road.
These interventions are important for improving the overall infrastructural conditions of the area, aiming at a long-term benefits for road users. However, the immediate implications are expected to create temporary inconvenience for drivers and residents due to the traffic adjustments and construction activities. Updates on the project’s progress and any further alterations to traffic conditions will be communicated by local authorities to ensure minimal disruption to the public.
