CBOS Party Survey: Law and Justice Support at Lowest in Years
A recent CBOS survey reveals that Law and Justice (PiS) is experiencing its lowest support in years, with the opposition Coalition Citizen gaining ground.
According to the latest CBOS survey published in February, over 76% of respondents expressed their intention to participate in upcoming elections, reflecting a 2.1 percentage point increase from the previous survey. In this landscape, Coalition Citizen topped the poll with 29.6% support, indicating a slight rise of 0.3 percentage points since the last poll, which suggests a strengthening of the opposition party's presence among voters.
Law and Justice (PiS), led by Jarosław Kaczyński, came in second with just 18.3% support, which marks a significant decrease of 2.1 percentage points from previous figures. This decline is critical as it reflects a growing discontent among the electorate towards the ruling party, raising questions about the party's ability to maintain its base ahead of the elections.
In third place is the Confederation Freedom and Independence, which saw an increase of 2.2 percentage points to reach 13.4%. This trend suggests a fragmentation of support among right-leaning voters and emphasizes the changing dynamics of Polish politics as alternative parties gain traction. The implications of these shifts could lead to a more competitive electoral landscape in the forthcoming elections, posing challenges for the PiS party, which has dominated Polish politics for years.
