Latest Party Survey: Civic Coalition's Lead over Law and Justice Grows
A recent survey shows the Civic Coalition has increased its lead over the Law and Justice party in Poland.
The latest political party survey in Poland indicates that the Civic Coalition (KO) has gained a significant lead over the ruling Law and Justice party (PiS). According to the poll, 34.2% of respondents would choose KO, reflecting an increase of 2.2 percentage points since the previous survey in February. In contrast, support for PiS has decreased to 22%, representing a drop of 2.5 percentage points compared to the earlier measurement. This shift enhances the Civic Coalition's lead from 7.5 to 12.2 percentage points.
The survey also reveals that the Confederation Freedom and Independence party remains in third place, experiencing a rise in support of 1.9 percentage points, with 14.5% of participants indicating they would vote for them. Meanwhile, the Polish Confederation of Grzegorz Braun suffered a slight decline, with 7.2% support, which shows the dynamic changes within the political landscape leading up to potential elections. This context signifies a possible reshuffling of party ranks, posing implications for future political engagements in Poland.
If elections were to be held today, although Donald Tusk, the leader of KO, could declare a victory, he would not secure enough support to form a government. The IBRiS survey featured in "Rzeczpospolita" underscores the evolving preferences of Polish voters and hints at a competitive electoral environment as parties strategize for future contests.
