New party poll: Support for leaders is rising. Who gains more, KO or PiS?
A recent poll reveals that support for the opposition party, Koalicja Obywatelska (KO), is increasing, leading ahead of the ruling party, PiS, with both parties experiencing contrasting trends in voter support.
A new poll by IBRiS for Polsat News indicates that Koalicja Obywatelska (KO) continues to maintain its lead in the Polish political landscape, receiving support from 37.91% of respondents. This marks a significant increase of 3.4 percentage points compared to the previous month, emphasizing the coalition's growing appeal among voters. In contrast, the ruling party, Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS), recorded a smaller increase, achieving 28.82% support, which is only a 1 percentage point gain from the last survey. However, despite this slight rise, PiS has fallen further behind KO by more than 2 percentage points, illustrating the challenges faced by the ruling party in closing the gap.
The poll reflects shifting dynamics in Polish politics as Koalicja Obywatelska capitalizes on public sentiment, potentially positioning itself as a strong competitor ahead of forthcoming elections. As for PiS, while any increase in support can be viewed positively, the fact that their lead has diminished in relation to the KO could signal underlying issues affecting their popularity. The composition of voter preferences suggests that PiS may need to reassess its strategies to regain ground lost to the opposition.
Lastly, the polling data shows that Konfederacja, another political entity, has seen a decline in support, recording 12.9% of votes which is a drop of 1.5 percentage points. This signals a broader landscape in Polish politics where the established parties, particularly KO, are gaining traction, while others struggle to maintain their voter base. The ramifications of these trends could have significant implications as the political scene evolves leading up to the elections.
