The data released by the Serviço de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas de Mato Grosso (Sebrae-MT) signals a robust increase in economic activity and enterprise formation in the state.

Fernando Holanda, the customer relationship manager at Sebrae-MT, explained that the surge in new businesses is largely driven by individuals seeking alternative sources of income. Many are choosing entrepreneurship to gain economic independence instead of relying solely on traditional employment. This shift reflects a broader socioeconomic trend where individuals prioritize self-employment and empowerment as a means to improve their financial stability.

The statistics also indicate that in 2025, more than 120,000 CNPJ registrations were completed, showcasing the strength of entrepreneurship in the region. This continuous growth not only signals a resilient economy in Mato Grosso but also aligns with growing motivations for autonomy, income generation, and socio-economic transformation among its residents.
