Taina Susiluoto appointed CEO of Technology Industries
Taina Susiluoto has been appointed as the new CEO of Technology Industries in Finland, starting in early March.
The board of Technology Industries in Finland has announced the appointment of Taina Susiluoto as the new CEO, effective from the beginning of March. Susiluoto brings a wealth of experience, having held leadership positions in various organizations, including the Finnish Olympic Committee, the Confederation of Finnish Industries, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, and the Ministry of Defence. Her international experience includes working for the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, demonstrating her capability in both domestic and global contexts.
Susiluoto's educational background is in law, holding a Master's degree in legal studies, which could provide her with a unique perspective on the regulatory aspects of the technology industry. The transition comes as the current CEO, Minna Helle, prepares to take on a new role as CEO of the Confederation of Finnish Industries at the beginning of April, marking a significant shift in the leadership of the organization. This change is notable given the increasing importance of technology in advancing Finland's economy and enhancing its global competitiveness.
With Susiluoto’s diversified experience in both governmental and international organizations, she is likely to strengthen Technology Industries' role in advocating for technological advancement and innovation in Finland. The transition in leadership comes at a crucial time as industries navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by rapid technological changes, making her appointment relevant not only for the organization but also for the broader Finnish economic landscape.
