Construction in the Center may alter traffic until the end of the week; understand what changes
The municipality of Piracicaba has begun resurfacing the José Micheletti Avenue, which may lead to partial road closures and traffic changes until the end of the week.
The city of Piracicaba has initiated a resurfacing project on José Micheletti Avenue in the city center. This project is anticipated to cause partial road closures and alterations to traffic patterns until the completion expected by the end of the week, assuming favorable weather conditions. Given the avenue’s importance, as it leads to the Central Terminal and the city's bus station, the municipality emphasizes the need for caution among drivers navigating through the area.
During the construction period, locals, businesses, and visitors are advised not to park their vehicles on the avenue in order to facilitate the work and prevent delays or damage to the new asphalt. The project involves comprehensive changes, including the preparation of the road base, milling of the old pavement, and application of new asphalt across the entire length from Avenida Independência to Rua XV de Novembro.
The initiative reflects an ongoing commitment by the municipal authority to improve urban infrastructure and traffic conditions in Piracicaba. By investing in road maintenance, the city aims to enhance transportation efficiency and safety for residents and visitors alike, although it requires temporary adjustments to regular traffic flow during the construction period.
