Security Reinforced in Michoacán Due to Possible Funeral of 'El Mencho'
Authorities in Michoacán are enhancing security measures in Aguililla due to concerns over a potential funeral for Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, known as 'El Mencho'.
In Michoacán, the authorities have stepped up security in the region of Aguililla in anticipation of a possible funeral for Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, more infamously known as 'El Mencho', the former leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). A legal representative of his family recently visited the Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) to claim his remains, which has triggered these security precautions. The state government has indicated that while there is no confirmation regarding the delivery of the body or a set date for any memorial service, they are proactively deploying measures to mitigate any possible disruptions during this sensitive time.
