Latvia becomes the first country to legally recognize Ukraine's e-signatures
Latvia has become the first country to legally recognize Ukraine's e-signatures, enhancing cooperation and integration between the two nations.
Latvia has made history by becoming the first country to legally recognize e-signatures from Ukraine, as announced by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development (VARAM). This significant step is aimed at strengthening collaboration and supporting Ukraine's digital integration, providing more convenient communication and cooperation opportunities for Ukrainians residing in Latvia, as well as for businesses and government institutions in both countries.
A meeting was held on Wednesday with representatives from Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation, VARAM, and the Latvian State Radio and Television Centre (LVRTC) to evaluate the implementation of the new solutions and discuss tighter cooperation opportunities in the realm of digital transformation. This collaboration is expected to facilitate better interaction both for Ukrainians in Latvia and for enterprises and authorities in Latvia and Ukraine.
According to Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, this move illustrates how digitalization truly integrates Ukraine into the European space, creating new opportunities and a more comfortable living environment for every Ukrainian. By building a mutual digital marketplace with Europe, the initiative aims to ensure that borders do not hinder work or growth, providing a seamless digital experience across nations.
