Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Latvia has committed substantial financial aid amounting to over 1 billion euros. This support is comprised mainly of military assistance, which alone exceeds 665 million euros. The military aid has included various types of equipment such as anti-aircraft missiles, helicopters, howitzers, drones, weapons, dry food rations, ammunition, anti-tank weapons, and fuel. This robust military backing underscores Latvia's commitment to supporting Ukraine in its defense against the aggression.

In addition to military aid, nearly 300 million euros have been allocated to support Ukrainian civilians affected by the conflict. This funding is directed towards residency and work permits, employment grants, various types of benefits, scholarships, organization of camps for children and students, as well as language and cultural orientation courses. This multifaceted approach not only aids in the immediate needs of the displaced population but also facilitates their integration into Latvian society.

Moreover, the private sector and Latvian non-governmental organizations play a crucial role in supporting Ukraine. One notable organization, Ziedot.lv, has raised approximately 42 million euros in donations since the war began, showcasing the solidarity and generosity of the Latvian public towards those impacted by the war. The combined efforts of the government, civil society, and citizens highlight Latvia's unwavering support for Ukraine during this critical time.
