Gujarat Board's 10th-12th Exams Begin, 15.27 Lakh Students Taking the Exam
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has commenced the 10th and 12th-grade exams from February 26, with a total of 15.27 lakh students participating this year.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has officially started the exams for 10th and 12th grades on February 26, running through March 18. A total of 15.27 lakh students are expected to take the exams, a noticeable increase of around 97,000 students compared to last year. In light of this increasing number, the board has made extensive arrangements across the state to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
For the 10th-grade exams, 9,07,175 students are participating, with 1,006 examination centers set up across 87 zones in the state. Meanwhile, in the 12th-grade exams, the Science stream will see 1,19,263 students taking the tests at 156 centers, while the Commerce stream will have 5,01,286 students at 539 centers. Additionally, special provisions have been made for students with disabilities, with 4,877 students from 10th grade, 2,293 from 12th-grade Commerce, and 193 from 12th-grade Science registered to take the exams.
The board has also issued strict guidelines to ensure the orderly conduct of the exams, emphasizing that students must adhere to hall ticket verification strictly. These measures aim to maintain exam integrity and address the logistics involved in accommodating a larger number of candidates, as the board seeks to manage this annual academic milestone effectively.
