HIFK is About to Capture a True Star from Abroad

HIFK is considering bringing in Swedish goalkeepers Tim Juel or Christoffer Rifalk for next season.

HIFK, currently sitting in 12th place in the SM-liiga, is on the search for a new goalkeeper for the upcoming season and has narrowed down its options to two Swedish players, Tim Juel and Christoffer Rifalk. Both goalies have shown impressive performance records which make them viable candidates for the team.

Tim Juel recently had a standout season under coach Olli Jokinen at Timrå, where he was voted the best goalkeeper in the SHL with a save percentage of 92.9. In the current season, Juel has played 19 games with a 89.3 save percentage, entering his third season with Timrå. His experience and recent accolades ideally position him to contribute positively to HIFK's team dynamics if recruited.

Christoffer Rifalk, another contender, is 29 years old and has spent the last seven seasons playing for Rögles. This season, he has played 15 games with a save percentage of 90.8 and has a CHL championship to his name. The recruitment of either goalkeeper would suggest HIFK is seriously investing in strengthening their roster to improve their standing in the league for the coming season.
