Police arrest three, recover N31.75m stolen goods in Oyo

Three suspects have been arrested by Oyo State Police following a robbery incident, with over N31 million worth of stolen goods recovered.

The Oyo State Police have arrested three individuals in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in Ibadan, following a tip-off from the public. The police action was initiated after a victim, Ezekiel Inije, reported being robbed at gunpoint by a gang of five near the Coca-Cola area, Asejire. The Commissioner of Police, CP Femi Haruna, emphasized the importance of human intelligence and technological resources in swiftly addressing the incident.

In the operation, the police utilized both technology and ground intelligence to trace the suspects to the Oko area of Ogbomoso. The arrested individuals have been identified as Chigbo Mesoma (24), Erondu Wisdom (29), and Okechukwu Emmanuel (25). The operation resulted in the recovery of significant stolen goods, including a Howo Long vehicle and 2,000 bags of Karma rice, valued collectively at N31.75 million.
