Police foil cattle rustling, arrest four suspects in Oyo

Four suspects were arrested by the Oyo State Police in connection to a cattle rustling incident.

The Oyo State Police Command has successfully apprehended four individuals linked to a cattle rustling case that occurred in Ado-Awaye, within the Iseyin Local Government Area. The arrests were confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, in a statement issued from Ibadan. The primary suspects included Sekooni Wale and Jimoh Toheeb, who were identified as the driver and assistant of a vehicle used in the crime.

The investigation expanded to include Maya Town in Lanlate, where the principal suspect, Moshood Abdullahi, was captured. He is reported to have traveled from Badagry and is known for his involvement in a series of cattle rustling activities. Following his arrest, another suspect, Macho Sindi, was also taken into custody, suggesting a wider network operating within the region amidst concerns over rural crime.
