Terrorists' handler revealed to be Kashmiri, planning attacks from Bangladesh

Following an alert of a potential terrorist attack in Delhi, police have arrested eight suspects linked to operations in Pakistan and Bangladesh, with a Kashmiri handler orchestrating their activities from Bangladesh.

In response to an alert regarding a major terrorist threat in Delhi, police forces have apprehended eight individuals believed to be linked to a larger terrorist network that spans across Pakistan and Bangladesh. These arrests were prompted by intelligence that revealed a Kashmiri individual acting as the handler for the group. The suspects, who include individuals identified as Mizanur Rehman, Mohammad Shabat, Umar, Mohammad Litan, Mohammad Shahid, and Mohammad Ujjwal, allegedly operated under the direction of this handler while utilizing fake identification documents.

The investigation has also uncovered evidence that these individuals were in possession of vital materials including eight mobile phones and sixteen SIM cards, which they reportedly used to facilitate their planning activities. Furthermore, law enforcement officials discovered videos documenting reconnaissance of significant locations, pointing to a serious level of planning for potential attacks. The police investigations into these suspects intensified following the emergence of inflammatory posters advocating 'FREE KASHMIR' that were strategically placed in various areas across Delhi and even in Kolkata.

The presence of 'FREE KASHMIR' posters has led to police launching an operation to dismantle the associated terrorist module, highlighting the risks posed by such propaganda. The implications of this incident extend beyond immediate security concerns, raising questions about the influence of external terrorist groups in India and the complexities involved in managing such threats, particularly in a politically sensitive context like Kashmir.
