Compesa suspends water supply in 55 neighborhoods of Petrolina this Wednesday (25); see list

The water supply will be interrupted in various neighborhoods of Petrolina due to preventive maintenance at a pumping station.

The Companhia Pernambucana de Saneamento (Compesa) has announced a scheduled interruption in the water supply across 55 neighborhoods in Petrolina on Wednesday, due to preventive maintenance work at the city's Water Pumping Station 1. The maintenance is set to start at 5 AM and is expected to conclude by that evening. The initiative aims to enhance the operational performance of the water distribution system to ensure more consistent supply in the future.

Compesa emphasized the importance of this maintenance in providing improved water service reliability and has advised residents to use their available water sources wisely until normal service resumes. The prior notification has been issued to better prepare the community for the temporary disruption in water service. Once the maintenance is complete, water distribution will gradually return to normal across the affected areas.

The list of neighborhoods impacted by the suspension covers several parts of Petrolina, including significant areas like Distrito Industrial and various Cohab communities. This measure is part of Compesa's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve water distribution infrastructure in the region, reflecting their commitment to ensuring residents have access to essential services.
