In Liepāja, support for Ukraine is urged through prayers, weaving camouflage nets, and donations

Liepāja's community is actively supporting Ukraine through financial donations, housing for Ukrainian refugees, and hosting fundraising events.

Liepāja, a city in Latvia, currently hosts over 1,400 people from Ukraine, with more than 70 local residents providing accommodation in their homes. The municipality has dedicated €55,000 in donations over the past four years to assist Ukrainian citizens, specifically targeting urgent needs rather than social support. Monthly, about 20 individuals, including families and single persons, arrive in Liepāja from Ukraine seeking refuge and safety.
