On February 23rd, President Daniel Noboa inaugurated the "Guayas boosts your home with Miti Miti" housing initiative, designed to help Ecuadorians access affordable home loans with favorable interest rates. This project aims to assist many families who have struggled for years to secure financing for home ownership, often resorting to informal lending with exorbitant interest rates that make buying a home nearly impossible.

During the launch event held in Salitre, Noboa highlighted the social impact of providing access to affordable housing, noting that many people have paid rent for years while seeking sustainable financing options without success. He shared personal stories of families who have faced difficulties in qualifying for loans from cooperatives and other traditional financial institutions.
