Registrations for 850 vacancies at the Schools of Apprentice Sailors are extended

The Brazilian Navy has extended the registration period for 850 vacancies at its Schools of Apprentice Sailors until March 2.

The Brazilian Navy has announced the extension of registrations for its Schools of Apprentice Sailors (EAM), allowing candidates to apply until March 2. A total of 850 positions are available for training, with 754 spots allocated for males and 96 for females. The locations for these positions are spread across various states including Ceará, Espírito Santo, Santa Catarina, and Pernambuco, although applications are open to any Brazilian citizen regardless of their location.

Candidates interested in the program are required to pay a registration fee of R$ 53, which is due by March 3. Applications can be submitted through the Navy's official recruitment website. The training conducted at the Schools of Apprentice Sailors enables selected candidates to become Apprentice Sailors for a year, with a comprehensive curriculum that includes basic education and naval military training. During this period, students will also receive meals.

The program not only aims to provide skills and knowledge necessary for a naval career but also emphasizes inclusivity, with specific slots reserved for female candidates in a traditionally male-dominated field. The initiative reflects the Navy's commitment to promoting gender equality and expanding opportunities for women in the military sector.
