Navy extends registration for 850 vacancies at the Schools of Apprentice Sailors
The Brazilian Navy has extended the registration deadline for 850 vacancies in its Apprentice Sailors program until March 2.
The Brazilian Navy recently announced that it has extended the registration period for its Apprentice Sailors program, specifically the Schools of Apprentice Sailors (EAM), until March 2. This initiative offers 850 positions aimed at training new sailors, with 754 slots allocated for male candidates and 96 for female candidates. The program emphasizes inclusivity and offers opportunities for women to join the naval service, a significant advancement in gender representation within the military domain.
Candidates interested in applying must pay a registration fee of R$ 53, which can be submitted until March 3. Interested applicants are required to sign up through the official website dedicated to the Navy’s competitive exams. The training is structured to benefit those selected, as they will enter as Apprentice Sailors for a one-year internship program free of charge, covering basic education and military training, which is invaluable for their future careers in the Navy.
This training program not only equips the younger population with essential skills but also provides them with housing, food, and uniforms during the educational phase. The strategic location of training units across several states, including Ceará, Espírito Santo, Santa Catarina, and Pernambuco, adds to the accessibility of the program, ensuring that a broader demographic can take part in this opportunity, which is expected to enhance the Navy's operational capacity with newly trained personnel.
