Taco Bell is set to open its fourth restaurant in Guayaquil after successfully establishing three locations in under three months.

Taco Bell has made a swift return to Guayaquil, Ecuador, and is preparing to open its fourth restaurant just three months after re-entering the city. The fast-food chain first made its comeback on November 25, 2025, after a 16-year hiatus, with its first outlet located in the San Marino shopping mall, followed by locations at José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport and most recently in the City Mall's food court. The brand has been well-received by locals, indicating strong market demand for its offerings.

The restaurant chain's return involved substantial investment, with each location costing between $200,000 and $300,000, reflecting Taco Bell's confidence in the Ecuadorian market. Cornelio Vintimilla, the general manager of Taco Bell Ecuador, played a significant role in strategizing the brand's comeback, promising rapid expansion and a focus on driving business growth in Ecuador. The successful launch of Taco Bell in Quito, alongside Guayaquil, further highlights the brand's efforts to establish a robust presence in Ecuadorian cities.

Looking ahead, Taco Bell plans to further expand its footprint, with ambitious targets set for 2026 including the establishment of a total of ten locations nationwide. Following the latest openings, future sites are already earmarked, including a new outlet in Cuenca, demonstrating the company's commitment to long-term growth and sustainability in the Ecuadorian market.
