Punjab's government schools shine, over 300 students cleared the JEE Mains exam
The Punjab Education Minister announced that more than 300 students from government schools succeeded in the JEE Mains 2026 exam on their first attempt, marking a significant increase from the previous year.
Punjab's Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains reported a remarkable achievement as over 300 students from government schools successfully passed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2026 on their first attempt. This achievement is not only noteworthy but also reflects a 63% increase compared to last year's 187 successful candidates. Bains emphasized that this moment is crucial for the state's school education system, showcasing the improvements made in recent years.
The Minister highlighted that five students from his constituency, Sri Anandpur Sahib, also cleared the exam, further showcasing the localized success within Punjab. To enhance the success of these students, the government plans to organize a specialized three-week training camp to prepare them for the JEE Advanced exam. This initiative underlines the government's commitment to supporting students and improving educational outcomes in the region.
The announcement was celebrated as a proud moment for Punjab's entire school education department. Bains expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the dedicated teachers who contributed to this achievement.
