JEE Mains Result May Be Released Anytime, Here's How to Check
Candidates are awaiting the results of the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exams, which were conducted from January 21 to 29, as the final answer key is expected to be released soon.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examinations have concluded, with millions of candidates eagerly anticipating their results. The exams were held from January 21 to 29, and over 1.35 million students participated. While there is uncertainty regarding the exact release date of the results, it is anticipated that the final answer key will be announced shortly. Following this, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will prepare the percentile results based on the final key, as the objection period for the provisional key has already ended.
In terms of qualifying for the JEE Advanced, it is expected that candidates scoring between 90 and 100 marks (approximately 93-95 percentile) in the General category will be able to qualify. This means that only the top 2.5 lakh (250,000) students will advance to the next level. Additionally, the application process for Session 2 has already begun, allowing candidates to apply and check their results through the official NTA results website (ntaresults.nic.in).
Candidates are advised to carefully read the information provided on their scoreboards to understand their results accurately. The procedure for calculating percentiles involves assigning four marks for each correct answer and deducting one mark for each incorrect answer, which significantly impacts the final scores of the candidates. As such, understanding the scoring system is crucial for the candidates looking to assess their performance in the JEE Mains examinations.
