Western Railway will run these Holi special trains, booking starts today

The Western Railway in India has announced special train services for the festival of Holi, aimed at accommodating the increased passenger demand.

As the festival of Holi approaches, the Indian Railways has announced the operation of special trains to manage the rising passenger traffic during this festive season. The Western Railway, addressing the demand and needs of travelers, has decided to introduce special train services between Sabarmati (Ahmedabad) and Haridwar, and between Asarwa and Agra Cantt. These special Holi trains will operate at special fares to cater to the increased number of passengers during the holiday period.

The Sabarmati-Haridwar special train, numbered 09425/09426, is set to make a total of 10 trips during the Holi festivities. Specifically, the train (number 09425) will depart from Sabarmati on February 23, 2026, and subsequently on March 2, 9, 16, and 23, all at 6:45 PM, while it is scheduled to reach Haridwar the following day at 8:30 PM. Conversely, the Haridwar-Sabarmati returning train (number 09426) is planned to leave Haridwar at 9:45 PM on February 24, 2026, and again on March 3, 10, 17, and 24, arriving in Sabarmati the next day at 10:30 PM.
