NBTE approves seven ND programmes for Kebbi health college
The National Board for Technical Education has approved seven National Diploma programmes for the Kebbi State College of Health Sciences and Technology.
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has officially approved seven National Diploma programmes aimed at enhancing the academic offerings of the Kebbi State College of Health Sciences and Technology, a significant achievement for the institution. The programmes that received accreditation include ND Public Health Technology, ND Environmental Health Technology, ND Community Health Technology, ND Health Information Management, ND Medical Laboratory Technology, ND Health Education and Promotion, along with another additional programme. This accomplishment signifies a critical advancement for the college in its pursuit of educational excellence.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Alhaji Magaji Abdullahi, during an event in Birnin Kebbi, who described the approval as an unprecedented milestone in the collegeβs history. He emphasized that this recognition by the NBTE followed a successful resource verification and advisory visit that took place in December 2025, which played a crucial role in the accreditation process. This step not only strengthens the college's academic credentials but also positions it to contribute significantly to health education in Kebbi State.
The introduction of these programmes is expected to enhance the quality of training available in the health sector, therefore addressing critical healthcare needs in the region.
