A'Ibom poly secures NBTE accreditation for 21 programmes

Federal Polytechnic Ukana has secured accreditation for 21 academic programmes, allowing it to enhance its educational offerings and operate as a skills training center.

Federal Polytechnic Ukana, located in Essien Udim Local Government Area, has recently announced that it has secured accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for a total of 21 academic programmes. This includes 19 National Diploma programmes and three Higher National Diploma programmes, which are set to improve the institution's educational standards and provide students with more recognized qualifications.

Moreover, the polytechnic has been granted approval to function as a skills training center under the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme. This development is significant as it allows the institution to offer courses in various trades, including fashion design, leatherwork, paint making, printing, and decoration. The announcement of these achievements was made by the Rector of the institution, Mrs. Eduma Essien, during a presentation showcasing her stewardship over the past year.

The successful accreditation and approvals are essential milestones for Federal Polytechnic Ukana, as they reflect the institution's commitment to enhancing the educational experience for its students and meeting national education standards.
