Invego to develop a new residential area in Riga; first phase investments amount to 38 million euros

Invego is set to invest 38 million euros in the first phase of a new residential area development in Riga, transforming eight hectares of land including the historic Riga Film Studio district into a vibrant community.

Invego has announced plans to invest 38 million euros in the initial phase of an ambitious residential project called "Nordale" in Riga, specifically targeting an eight-hectare area in the Mežciems suburb. This development will notably include the historic Riga Film Studio district, aiming to create a new urban neighborhood that marries history with modern living. By only utilizing various architectural teams for each project phase, Invego plans to cultivate a diverse and lively community with a unique architectural identity for each segment.

The conceptual vision behind the development highlights functional, future-ready housing that features spacious balconies, terraces, and green courtyards. The designs are intended to maximize natural light while promoting a sustainable and adaptable urban environment. Additionally, the project will include a central promenade equipped with cafes, shops, and service providers, creating a natural connection to the nearby Akropole Alfa shopping center, thereby enhancing the locality’s appeal.

Moreover, the project emphasizes pedestrian and cyclist-friendly zones to ensure safety and easy navigation throughout the area. By incorporating car-free spaces between buildings, it aims to provide a secure and adaptable urban space that supports community interaction and promotes an active lifestyle. The first phase alone encompasses 19,500 square meters, indicating significant growth potential for this new neighborhood in urban Riga.
