In Gurugram's Sector 69, a shocking incident has come to light involving a 19-year-old BSc biotechnology student from Tripura, who was subjected to immense brutality by her live-in partner, Shivam. Following suspicions regarding her character, Shivam not only held her hostage for three days but also physically assaulted her, leading to a severe and life-threatening condition. The victim reported that crimes escalated from severe beatings to more horrific acts, culminating in the use of a sanitizer to inflict burns on her private parts.
The victim had met Shivam through a dating app in September 2025, which quickly transitioned into a live-in relationship. The situation deteriorated dramatically on February 16, 2026, when Shivam began torturing her. He inflicted physical harm using various objects and even recorded her nudity to blackmail her further. In a chilling statement, he threatened that he would leave her incapable of motherhood, signaling the depths of his cruelty.
Fortunately, the victim's mother played a critical role in her survival, helping her escape from her partner’s clutches. Additionally, the victim cleverly used the Bengali language as a code in her communications to ensure the authorities understood the gravity of her situation.
