A 23-year-old passenger traveling on a bus from São Paulo to Bahia was arrested by the Military Police after they found a rifle and ammunition in his luggage. The bus was stopped during a police operation on BR-135 in Montes Claros when officers noticed that the passenger was behaving nervously and unusually compared to the other passengers. His excessive sweating and trembling hands raised suspicion among the police officers during their routine checks.

When queried about whether he was carrying anything illegal, the suspect denied any wrongdoing but continued to exhibit signs of anxiety. Upon conducting further searches on the luggage, law enforcement discovered a .22 caliber rifle along with 22 rounds of ammunition. The individual later confessed to purchasing the weapon in rural São Paulo for around R$ 6,000, revealing further information about his background and the acquisition of the firearm.
