Turkey's electronic gaming market surpasses one billion dollars
Turkey's electronic gaming market has reached a size of 1.01 billion dollars, experiencing a 25% growth compared to the previous year.
Turkey's electronic gaming market has crossed the one billion dollar threshold, reaching 1.01 billion dollars in 2025 with a 25% growth from the prior year 2024. This growth is attributed to increasing demand for electronic games and a rise in internet users in the country, with about 77 million internet users and nearly 50 million active gamers, who consist of 46% women and 54% men. The market was recorded at 810 million dollars in 2024.
The report from 'Gaming Turkey MENA EU,' a specialist in the gaming industry, indicates that the gaming landscape in Turkey is evolving rapidly, supported by improved internet infrastructure. The ease of access has been enhanced significantly, making it technically more straightforward for players to engage with gaming platforms. The CEO of the company, Ozan Aydinmer, noted that the entrepreneurial and investment climate has become "more selective and smarter," indicating a maturation of the industry as it attracts more sophisticated investments.
The strategic developments within the Turkish gaming market suggest not only a rapid growth in economic terms but also a notable demographic shift in the gaming community. With women making up a substantial portion of the gaming demographic, this may point to changing cultural norms regarding gaming engagement in Turkey. As the sector continues to expand, it is poised to have far-reaching implications for technology, entertainment, and broader economic trends within the country.
