The Olympic slalom event saw Latvian alpine skiers Dženifera Ģērmane and Liene Bondare in competition. Ģērmane, who started with bib number 17, encountered difficulties early in her run, failing to navigate through the gates and ultimately not finishing the race, marking a disappointing debut at the Olympic Games.

On the other hand, Liene Bondare, who started later with the 67th bib, managed to complete her run in 53.95 seconds, trailing behind the winner by 6.82 seconds.
