Fraud of millions with a judge in Himachal Pradesh, the temptation to double the money turned out to be heavy

A judicial officer in Himachal Pradesh was defrauded of 600,000 rupees through a fraudulent online investment scheme that promised high returns.

In Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district, a shocking case has emerged of a judicial officer falling victim to an online investment scam resulting in a loss of 600,000 rupees. The police have initiated an investigation against unknown individuals following a complaint that highlighted the lack of promised profits. This incident was brought to light when the victim realized he had not received the expected returns from his investment.

According to police reports, the judicial officer came across an alluring advertisement for an investment scheme on social media, which claimed to offer significant returns in a short period and nearly double the invested amount. Intrigued by the ad, the judge expressed interest, leading the scammers to approach him under the guise of representatives from a reputed investment firm. They attempted to gain his trust and successfully persuaded him to invest a total of 600,000 rupees in multiple installments.

However, upon attempting to withdraw both his investment and promised profits, the fraudsters outright denied any payment. Feeling deceived, the judicial officer has officially lodged a complaint with the police, who are now investigating the matter, emphasizing the need for caution against such scams targeting individuals with potentially high financial stakes.
