Higher prices for butter contribute to record revenue for Arla

Arla has achieved record-high revenue in 2025, totaling €15.1 billion, attributed to price increases, growth in protein product sales, and acquisitions.

In 2025, Arla Foods experienced unprecedented revenue growth, reporting an impressive total of €15.1 billion, approximately 112 billion Danish kroner. This marks nearly a 10% increase from the previous year, as stated by CEO Peder Tuborgh. Tuborgh highlighted that this record result is a testament to the company's effective strategic approach, despite a reported decline in sales for some well-known products, such as Lurpak butter, during the same period.

The increase in revenue can largely be attributed to higher prices and a significant global demand for protein-rich products. Although there was a drop in sales of certain traditional items, the boost from elevated pricing has more than compensated for these losses. Tuborgh emphasized that the heightened interest in protein and protein-based products worldwide has driven both prices and sales volume positively, leading to robust financial results.

Moreover, Arla's products, particularly those marketed under its Arla Skyr brand, have seen increased demand, indicating a shift in consumer preferences towards healthier food options. This trend toward protein-rich foods suggests not only a flourishing market segment for Arla but also important implications for the company’s future strategy and product development, as they align their offerings with evolving consumer desires and economic conditions.
