Hellenic Train: Railway Traffic Restored on the Sindos - Thessaloniki Section

Hellenic Train has restored railway traffic between Sindos and Thessaloniki after a disruption caused by a fallen tree.

The Hellenic Train announced that railway traffic on the Sindos - Thessaloniki section has been restored as of 00:45. The service had been interrupted since 22:35 the previous evening due to a fallen tree on the tracks, which also affected the electricity supply to the railway. The disruption was exacerbated by the strong 'Vardaris' winds sweeping through Thessaloniki, with gusts reaching 9 on the Beaufort scale, creating additional challenges in the area.
