JHSF buys palace in Milan for over R$ 300 million to open a unit of Fasano

JHSF has acquired a historic palace in Milan for over R$ 300 million to establish a luxury hotel under its Fasano brand.

JHSF, known for its developments like Shopping Cidade Jardim and Fasano hotels, has made a significant investment by purchasing a historic palace in Milan for €52.5 million (R$ 324 million). This acquisition is part of the company's strategy for international expansion, as it seeks to tap into the high-end hospitality market in Italy. The move follows the announcement of another project in Sardinia last year, indicating a focused approach towards establishing a strong presence in luxury travel destinations.

The new Fasano hotel in Milan will be the second in Italy, following the establishment in Sardinia, enhancing the brand's global footprint in affluent markets. JHSF emphasized that Milan is one of the world's top luxury destinations, joining the ranks of cities like New York, London, and São Paulo where Fasano has a presence. This step reflects the growing trends in the luxury sector, which JHSF aims to capitalize on by targeting affluent customers.

The palace will feature 40 suites and will operate under a long-term management contract for hotel activities. This investment not only highlights JHSF's commitment to expanding its luxury hospitality services but also underscores its ambition to be a key player in the luxury hotel market internationally, amidst a competitive landscape.
