Newbuilding VLCC in the fleet of Capital Ship Management Corp.

Capital Ship Management Corp. has successfully taken delivery of the newly built VLCC "Aristotelis II," a modern crude oil tanker designed to exceed international environmental standards.

Capital Ship Management Corp., owned by Evangelos Marinakis, has received a new very large crude carrier (VLCC) named "Aristotelis II," which boasts a capacity of 307,000 deadweight tons. The vessel was constructed at Hengli Heavy Industries shipyards in China. This modern crude oil tanker has been built to surpass current international environmental requirements, thereby supporting the company's strategy for sustainable development.

The ship is equipped with ECO LR environmental certification, highlighting its adherence to superior environmental standards, as well as EEDI-3, P, and EAL notation, indicating its commitment to advanced navigation safety. Furthermore, "Aristotelis II" incorporates a wide range of energy-efficient technologies, such as advanced hydrodynamic systems and energy-saving devices that contribute to lower fuel consumption and reduced greenhouse gas emissions.

Additionally, the "Aristotelis II" is designed with a future conversion to LNG burning in mind, indicated by its fuel gas-ready classification GR(NG,A). This forward-thinking design aligns with increasing regulations for reducing emissions and demonstrates the company's proactive approach to meeting both current and forthcoming environmental standards in the maritime industry.
