President Claudia Sheinbaum has published a decree in the afternoon edition of the Diario Oficial de la Federación (DOF), which introduces a tax incentive aimed at boosting the film and audiovisual production industry in Mexico. This incentive is structured as a tax credit that can reach up to 30 percent of the total cost of a production project carried out within national territory, with a cap of 40 million pesos per project. The goal of this initiative is to align Mexico's fiscal policies with international best practices while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
